We want you to have the most fun possible in our chat. To that end, we've established a few rules to ensure your safety and good time.

1) No one under the age of 18 is allowed in any area of FreeNakedChicks.Com, including the chat room. The OP's will boot and ban any minors on sight. The word of the users will be taken, as age can not be verified. Once a ban is installed, if the user continues to “sneak” in, their ISP will be notified. ISPs will be logged along with date and time of occurrence.

2) Advertising other sites or products, aka Spamming, will not be tolerated on any part of FreeNakedChicks.Com, including the chatroom. This activity is invasive, and interferes with the flow of chat.

3) The Chat Monitors, or OP's, are there for the good of the room. Their job is to make sure minors do not access the chat room, to make sure that spammers and scrollers do not ruin everyone's fun, and to keep out those who harass and/or threaten other chatters. They are NOT there to referee personal disagreements. They are also not there to be abused and mistreated. They volunteer their time to make the chat room a better place. Please treat them as respectfully as you wish to be treated.

4) A chatter will NOT be removed for the following reasons:

-- Having cybersex in the lounge (unless it is offensive to the other chatters), although a warning may be issued for them to take it private or to go to another room, to keep the scroll moving and fun for the other chatters. As in all things, please try to be considerate of your fellow chatters.

5) Chatters who log in under multiple names will be asked to log out all but one name. If they refuse to comply then they will be booted, if they continue to bring in multiple names after the warning they will be banned. Text Entry Fields
  • Nick - Nickname other users know you as.
  • Email - (optional) Identifying information, such as your email address.
  • Room - Name of the room you want to enter.

Session Options
  • Play Sounds - Hear sound requests that other users make.
  • Sound on Join - Play a sound when a user joins the room.
  • Use Colors - Use colors to differentiate types of messages.
  • Show Joins - Receive notification when a user joins or leaves the room.

Client Buttons

Chat

Displays the chat dialog currently in progress.
  • The Main area shows the messages you have sent and received. The current topic for this room, if any, is shown in the title bar.
  • The right list displays people currently in this chat room. Your nick is displayed as bold. If you select one or more names from the list then your messages (and sounds) will only go to those people. There are two special characters that preceed some names:
    @ indicates an operator that issue commands to control the room.
    + indicates a user with "voice", only users with voice can speak in a moderated room.
  • At the bottom is the input line. You can send a message by typing it on this line. A few basic commands you can enter are:
    /nick newname Change your nickname
    /join #newroom Create a new room or join an existing room
    /action message Sends an action (red) message
    /whois nick Shows you information about this nickname
    /quit Leave the chat and disconnect from the server
    /sound sound message Sends a sound and a message
    The sound will only be heard by others using the java client. Some common sounds are: bell, laugh, gong, moo, crash, flush, knock and whistle.
